IT Project Manager (Big Data Platform)

For one of our clients in the banking sector, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale Big Data Platform migration / vendor replacement project. The project involves transformations in the Hadoop / Cloudera / Big Data Platform domain.

• Proven experience leading a large-scale Big Data Platform migration or vendor replacement project in the Hadoop / Cloudera domain.
• Strong experience in Hadoop and/or Cloudera environments.
• Solid risk and issue management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong stakeholder and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English, both spoken and written.

• Lead and coordinate the vendor change / replacement project as Project Manager.
• Plan and manage end-to-end project delivery, including timelines, dependencies, resources, risks and milestones.
• Manage the project budget, financial planning and forecasting.
• Monitor delivery progress, identify potential issues and risks proactively, and escalate them when required.
• Ensure predictable execution through strong project governance and delivery discipline.
• Lead regular project team meetings and ensure effective follow-up on agreed actions.
• Prepare progress reports and Steering Committee (SteerCo) reporting.
• Coordinate and manage communication across project teams, vendors and senior stakeholders.
