Ruby on Rails Developer - Senior

SOFTSWISS is a company with offices in multiple locations including Warszawa (Poland), Beograd (Serbia), Kato Polemidia (Cyprus), Poznań (Poland), and T'bilisi (Georgia).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
• Solid Ruby programming skills
• Hands-on experience with data-intensive application development and performance tuning
• Experience developing complex solutions from scratch
• Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational databases, with ability to investigate complex data issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Deep knowledge of data structures, OOP, and algorithms
• Good communication skills

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with ClickHouse
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools and experience integrating them into development workflows
• Experience with Kafka
• Ability to implement space- and time-efficient algorithms
• Willingness to learn other programming languages such as Golang and Scala
• Familiarity with SRE practices
• Familiarity with cloud native technologies like k8s, Helm, and Prometheus

• Work in a fully agile environment with senior engineers and product managers
• Participate in designing fault-tolerant, highly available, and optimized solutions
• Monitor and optimize services in production
• Research and develop new technologies and tools
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and business teams
