Projekt B2B: Senior Data Engineer

Hays Contracting Services offers a B2B contract position focused on Data Engineering within the development of a modern data platform based on Microsoft Azure technologies. The project is international, based in the Azure environment, and aims at building and developing a modern data platform supporting global business processes and analytical initiatives. The contractor will join a new specialist team responsible for developing scalable Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions and delivering high-quality data for reporting, Business Intelligence, and advanced analytics. The project duration is initially until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension and long-term cooperation.

• Approximately 10 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Practical experience in designing and building modern data platforms
• Very good knowledge of SQL and data modeling
• Experience with Azure Databricks
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Knowledge of Python or Scala
• Experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes
• English language proficiency at minimum C1 level enabling cooperation in an international environment

Nice to have:

• Experience in enterprise environments with large-scale data
• Participation in cloud transformation projects
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture
• Experience in cost and performance optimization of data solutions in Azure

• Design and develop ETL/ELT processes in the Azure ecosystem
• Build and develop Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions
• Create and optimize data models
• Develop, maintain, and monitor data pipelines
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability
• Collaborate with analytical, business, and technical teams
• Optimize solutions for performance and cloud costs
• Participate in defining standards and development direction of the data platform
