Senior Platform Engineer

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline
• 7+ years experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IaC (Ansible, Terraform), DNS, Networking
• Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience
• Solid Linux administration skills
• Commitment to continuous improvement focusing on observability, modern app architecture styles, blue-green / canary deployments, CI/CD pipeline management
• Self-motivated, ability to study and follow emerging technologies while meeting business deadlines
• Experience with tools: Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with database concepts
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)
• Experience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting
• Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go)

• Initiate and drive adoption of good patterns, structures, and use of technologies for development and operations
• Investigate and identify automation opportunities
• Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process
• Implement and coordinate implementation of improvements with involved parties
• Develop and maintain existing / GitLab CI pipeline libraries
• Assist developers with setting up CI/CD and provide support for issues
• Stay up to date with latest tools and industry trends
• Provide senior-level recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments
• Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and learning recommendations
• Educate team members and Application Development Teams on platforms and tools including GitLab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes, Kafka, ELK
• Collaborate with Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure security compliance
• Offer services related to these tasks to any Companies of the Group as instructed by Line Manager
