Senior Cryptography Controls Subject Matter Expert – Cybersecurity

This role is for a Krakow-based position with a hybrid work model, working for a leading global financial institution to safeguard assets and data worldwide.

• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience focusing on cryptography or related fields.
• Proven knowledge of risk management, controls frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving ability to address governance challenges.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in cybersecurity, cryptography, or risk management.
• Experience in financial institutions or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO and NIST frameworks.

• Lead management and optimization of cryptography controls aligned with risk and compliance frameworks.
• Review and oversee control implementations, including documentation and continuous monitoring.
• Engage with control owners and stakeholders, including senior management, audit, and regulators.
• Develop and manage performance reporting with KPIs and effectiveness metrics.
• Ensure cryptography controls comply with regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Foster collaboration among control owners and cybersecurity teams.
• Design and deliver training programs on cryptography control strategies.
