Software Engineer III, Pixel Performance

Google is a technology company with teams working on software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications) and first party devices, combining Google AI, software, and hardware to build innovative user experiences globally.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Nice to have:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Review design and performance management architecture for future System on a Chip (SoC).
• Work on latest Pixel releases focusing on SoC bring-up, performance, and power efficiency.
• Develop new algorithms for improving Android workload efficiency (DVFS, governors, runtimes).
• Analyze utilization of SoC components like CPU, GPU, and Fabrics.
• Profile and analyze critical user journeys to improve performance and power efficiency for Pixel devices.
