Senior Java Full Stack Developer – Financial Services

This role is for a Krakow-based client in the global financial technology sector, focusing on foreign exchange (FX) services for institutional clients. The client leads innovations in FX Prime Brokerage, FX Hedging, and FX order management, and is undergoing a digital transformation involving microservices architecture.

• 5–10 years of experience as a Java full stack engineer.
• Strong knowledge of microservices concepts, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks.
• Proficiency with UI frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Familiarity with databases: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Degree in engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Fluent English language skills (B2).
• Willingness to work from the Krakow office two days per week.

Nice to have:

• Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js, Ruby, or Golang.
• Prior experience within financial services or investment banking.

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices and full stack applications for FX services.
• Contribute to migrating systems to a microservices architecture with 100-150 microservices.
• Participate in agile development practices.
• Ensure software compliance with cybersecurity and internal controls.
• Automate testing and deployment processes as part of DevOps responsibilities.
• Monitor live systems and provide out-of-hours support when necessary.
• Collaborate with international teams across Guangzhou, Toronto, and London.
• Support release management and deploy updates to production daily.
