Projekt B2B: Cloud Platform Engineer

Hays IT Contracting connects IT specialists with cutting-edge technology projects. The client is an international engineering organization developing modern cloud platforms, data-driven solutions, and platform engineering services.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT and cloud engineering
• Strong practical knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD process design
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or similar platforms)
• Knowledge of Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Synapse, Fabric, AWS Glue or similar technologies
• Understanding of event-driven architecture, workflow orchestration, and distributed systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data sharing platforms
• Good knowledge of networking, DNS, certificates, monitoring, and reliability of cloud environments
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to have:

• Certifications in AWS or Azure
• Experience in enterprise environments
• Experience with observability, data governance, and security compliance
• Experience with large engineering platforms or regulated products

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud environments in AWS and Azure
• Create and develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
• Build and develop DevSecOps automation, CI/CD processes, and GitOps practices
• Implement event-driven architecture and serverless solutions
• Co-create data platforms covering ingestion, transformation, cataloging, quality, and data sharing layers
• Implement Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture
• Deploy security mechanisms including IAM/RBAC, secret management, encryption, audit logging, and policy-as-code
• Develop solutions for monitoring, observability, and platform reliability
• Prepare technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and engineering standards
• Collaborate with international technology teams and project stakeholders

Project language: English (minimum B2 proficiency). Work is 100% remote from Poland, with in-person workshops in Kraków approximately once every three months.
