Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, GenAI, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is leading the AI revolution for businesses worldwide, providing the world's most advanced AI portfolio including frontier Gemini models and the Vertex AI platform. The role is part of Google Cloud’s Go-To-Market team and involves collaboration with DeepMind's engineering and research to solve customer challenges.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience building and shipping production-grade AI-driven solutions using Python, TypeScript, or comparable languages.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define AI and hardware infrastructure requirements.
• Experience designing and building AI systems on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data, incorporating vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-like architectures.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and patterns such as ReAct, self-reflection, and hierarchical delegation.
• Knowledge of large language model native metrics and optimization techniques for state management and granular tracing.

• Serve as the lead developer for AI applications, transitioning rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows such as multi-agent systems and model context protocol servers.
• Architect and code integration between Google’s AI products and customer's live infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data silos, and security perimeters.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure accuracy, safety, and latency of agentic systems.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and technical friction points in Google’s AI stack and convert them into reusable modules or product feature requests.
• Mentor talent, co-build with customer teams, and influence cross-functional strategies to enhance organizational technical capabilities.
