IT System Administrator

thyssenkrupp Group Services Gdańsk is a global competence and development center delivering business processes and services to numerous companies from thyssenkrupp – an international group of companies employing more than 100,000 people across 56 countries. The team designs, develops, and supports the IT applications and infrastructure that power thyssenkrupp's worldwide business.

• Practical experience in at least two areas of IT infrastructure such as Windows, Linux, networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, backup, monitoring, software deployment, or IT security
• Broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure and its interdependencies
• Interest in diverse technical tasks and willingness to independently learn new systems and technologies
• Structured, independent, and service-oriented working style with strong analytical troubleshooting skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good command of English; German language skills are an advantage

Systems, Networks & Platforms:

• Operate and support server, network, and platform services
• Administer Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments
• Provision and manage file storage and data services
• Support the operation and development of Linux clusters

Security, Access Management & Compliance:

• Support firewall, access control, and authorization topics
• Implement security, patch management, and compliance measures
• Analyze and remediate technical vulnerabilities

Monitoring, Backup & Service Operations:

• Operate and monitor backup and monitoring systems
• Analyze and resolve technical incidents and issues
• Process and document incidents, service requests, and changes in the IT service management system
• Take ownership of assigned areas and provide backup coverage

Workplace, Software Deployment & Technical Systems:

• Support workplace, laboratory, and industrial IT systems
• Provision and update software through the designated software deployment system
• Install, configure, and update technical systems

Automation, Projects & Collaboration:

• Automate recurring tasks using scripts and appropriate tools
• Participate in infrastructure, cloud, and security projects
• Create and maintain required technical documentation
• Collaborate with international teams and external service providers
• Continuously improve and standardize IT services
• Independently learn and adapt to various systems and technologies
