The RAN Baseband System Management team focuses on describing and specifying advanced features for Radio Networks, including signal processing, radio resource management, physical layer algorithms, multi-antenna systems, and cloud deployments. The organization has units in Sweden, Canada, USA, Poland, and China, working on 5G software simulations, customer deployment support, and global standardization efforts like 3GPP.

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent knowledge.
• Work experience in 5G NR and related areas.

• Good knowledge of 5G NR mobile communication systems, especially Physical Layer and Radio Resource Management.
• Product development knowledge with understanding of Lean and Agile methods.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Perform systems studies in Radio Resource Management including Scheduling, Link Adaptation, and control channel management.
• Specify system features, test cases, algorithms, use cases, and parameter settings.
• Develop network-level software simulations for 5G performance analysis.
• Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools, and processes.
• Lead solution package studies and participate in system trouble report teams.
• Contribute to advances in 5G standards and 6G readiness.
• File invention disclosures and patents supporting Ericsson's intellectual property.
• Support 5G system verification and analyze test results.
• Assist deployment of new 5G products and features in customer networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on new features and improvements.
