Senior GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer

Our client is a leader in financial services delivering cloud solutions for financial technology. The role involves working in an agile team focused on building resilient, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure on GCP.

• Minimum 5 years of experience building services with cloud providers, especially GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in configuring software-defined networking in the cloud.
• Solid knowledge of physical networking and security including IAM and OAuth.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, or Scala.
• Linux administration and scripting skills, preferably with Red Hat.
• Experience with Agile teams and automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Deep understanding of risk management and compliance in regulated industries.

Nice to have:

• GCP certifications at professional level.
• Linux or Windows Server certifications.
• Experience in highly regulated environments like financial services.

• Build and manage the GCP foundation platform for seamless application deployment.
• Engineer solutions on GCP using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Integrate, configure, and manage central cloud services including IAM, networking, logging, and containers.
• Administer and optimize software-defined networking in GCP, including VPCs and networking configurations.
• Maintain compliance with security standards, operational risk policies, and industry regulations.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, patch management, and implement non-functional testing activities.
• Document operational procedures and assist with impact assessments for platform changes.
• Provide out-of-hours rotational support ensuring 24x7 availability.
