Cybersecurity Engineer – Banking Security & Cloud Compliance

This role is for a Cybersecurity Engineer at ITDS supporting a client that is a leader in online banking. The position is based in Warsaw or Lodz with a hybrid work model and involves working within a Cybersecurity Architecture team focused on advanced security monitoring systems and strategic security architecture in the financial sector.

• Higher education degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics, or related technical field
• At least 3 years of professional IT experience or 2 years specializing in IT security
• Practical experience with cybersecurity technologies and solutions
• Extensive knowledge of application and IT system security
• Good understanding of networking technologies and Microsoft Windows/RHEL operating systems
• Knowledge of threat and vulnerability analysis techniques in IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with security technologies securing organizational internet perimeters
• Understanding of information security standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS
• Proficiency in English for fluent communication and technical documentation

Nice to have:

• Industry security certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
• Knowledge of financial-sector regulations (e.g., KNF Recommendation D, UKSC)
• Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure and GCP
• Ability to work under pressure and resilience to stress

• Maintain and develop systems supporting cybersecurity monitoring and protection against cyberattacks
• Collaborate with IT teams on security-related system changes and digital process enhancements
• Provide cybersecurity consulting and support for IT projects
• Analyze the security and resilience of banking systems against current cyber threats
• Support the Security Operations Center in managing security incidents
• Contribute to the creation and evolution of information security standards
• Analyze threats and vulnerabilities across IT infrastructure
• Assess security solutions and recommend improvements to bolster the organization’s security posture
• Support the implementation of security architecture across IT environments
• Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices
