Software Engineer III, Google Cloud, Dataform

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's technology to help developers and organizations digitally transform their businesses globally.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Preferred 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling backend services, APIs, and data infrastructure.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience in Data Analytics and ETL tools.
• Experience debugging complex issues, improving platform stability and security.
• Ability to write testable, maintainable code.
• Understanding of back-end architecture, distributed systems, database/storage solutions, and system performance tuning.

• Design and implement backend APIs, services, and core capabilities for Dataform.
• Scope, design, and drive technical solutions to address infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Continuously enhance platform security and stability.
• Partner with front-end teams and other Google Cloud service owners on API and system designs.
• Build scalable code management and pipeline orchestration solutions.
• Participate in monitoring, debugging, and production support, including on-call rotations.
