Senior Software Developer (Python/Java) - Security & AI/LLM

Jit Team has a long-standing relationship with a leading Nordic financial group, acting as their premier Polish partner. Over 200 Jit personnel work on more than 60 projects for this Norwegian financial services provider, known for a Scandinavian culture emphasizing work-life balance and international teams with English language exposure. Jit Team employs over 770 experts and supports charitable and educational initiatives in Poland.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python and/or Java development
• Experience developing and maintaining backend applications
• Experience creating and consuming REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for Java development
• Experience building modular applications and maintainable codebases in Python
• Understanding of software engineering best practices
• Experience with automated testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and English proficiency

Nice to have:

• Experience working with both Python and Java
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-assisted workflows
• Knowledge of structured-output validation and error-handling mechanisms
• Experience with application security testing
• Knowledge of DAST and SAST methodologies
• Experience with OWASP ZAP, Nuclei, Semgrep, pytest
• Experience in security test automation
• Experience with PDF processing, OCR, or document extraction
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Thymeleaf

• Interest in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and security engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain features within the Automated Security Retest Engine
• Develop and enhance Python-based processing pipelines
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs
• Contribute to the Java Spring Boot web application
• Integrate external tools, APIs, and AI/LLM-based services
• Improve reliability, accuracy, and quality of generated security tests and analysis
• Write automated unit and integration tests
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards
• Collaborate with security experts and product stakeholders to transform requirements into practical solutions
• Ensure the platform adheres to application security requirements and best practices
• Protect sensitive data, credentials, and security-related information

Preferred office location in Gdynia, Gdańsk, or Warszawa with a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days per week from the office) as required by the client.
