Senior Kafka & DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & CI/CD

Our client is a leading global financial institution delivering secure and scalable data solutions. The team supports a strategic managed Confluent Kafka platform spanning multiple regions and tenancy models with a Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Kafka platform administration.
• Strong expertise in Confluent Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka application development is a plus.
• Solid background in DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Fluent English communication skills (interviews fully in English).
• Availability during core hours (10:00–16:00 PL time) with flexible start/finish.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
• Minimum 6 days per month presence in Kraków.

Nice to have:

• Certifications related to Kafka, DevOps, or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in a global, multi-regional environment.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization.

• Administer and support the Confluent Kafka platform across multiple regions and tenancy models.
• Maintain and enhance Kubernetes-based infrastructure for performance and scalability.
• Build and refine DevOps CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders from Germany, France, the UK, Hong Kong, the US, and China.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for evening and weekend platform support.
• Support out-of-hours change activities to minimize downtime.
• Continuously improve platform security, performance, and reliability.
