Product Manager I, Chrome Web Store

Google is focused on building and improving the Chrome web browser across all major platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS. Chrome is an open source project aimed at benefiting the entire web ecosystem with innovations in speed, simplicity, and security. This particular role centers on Trust and Safety for the Chrome Web Store and Chrome Extensions ecosystem.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
• 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong understanding of web technologies and the software development life cycle.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts related to scalability and performance effectively.
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with ability to use data for decision-making.
• Passion for online safety, security risks, and privacy best practices.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

• Lead the product goal and strategy for ensuring the trust and safety of the Chrome Web Store and Chrome Extensions ecosystem.
• Define and prioritize product initiatives to enhance the security and quality of Chrome Extensions, collaborating with security analysts, review teams, policy managers, and engineering.
• Drive development and implementation of automated systems and processes to improve security and quality review efficiency for Chrome Extensions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build tools and infrastructure supporting proactive detection and mitigation of harmful extensions.
• Analyze data and user feedback to identify trends, measure the impact of trust and safety initiatives, and inform product decisions.
