AI Engineer (Agentic AI & Software Delivery)

ITDS is recruiting for a Warszawa-based AI Engineer position with a hybrid work model to work on a multi-year strategic project focused on building a fully automated, decision-supporting AI agent system from scratch. The role involves collaboration with product owners, business analysts, AI specialists, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers. The position targets the development of innovative business automation and data analysis tools within a newly built team, focusing on a brand-new product rather than legacy systems.

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including minimum 2 years with AI, machine learning, or data engineering.
• Proven knowledge of Azure AI Foundry and related Azure ecosystem services.
• Practical experience designing and implementing agentic AI solutions, including context search, vectorization, and knowledge base integration.
• Solid background in programming, preferably in Java or a similar language, with understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review processes.
• Ability to quickly prototype ideas, validate hypotheses, and operate in experimental R&D environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, and SonarQube.
• Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy in analysis, and effective communication with technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with monitoring and improving AI systems.
• Certifications in AI, Data Science, or related fields.

• Design and develop AI agents to support decision-making within a new, critical business process.
• Create solutions for data analysis and documentation gap detection.
• Orchestrate AI agents and integrate them with backend Java systems and process workflows.
• Ensure agent reliability, quality, and performance consistency.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and AI specialists on building the product from the ground up.
• Work with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to optimize data pipelines, models, and workflows.
• Conduct testing and monitoring of agents, including control and escalation mechanisms.
• Stay informed on AI tools, methodologies, and emerging trends to enhance project delivery.
