Staff Data Engineer - Fintech Platform (m/f/n)

InPost is building a scale-up focused on data and AI within the logistics and supply chain industry. The role is central to designing and owning the whole data platform, working directly with senior leadership and influencing the architecture across the organization.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering at scale.
• 5+ years experience with Spark/Databricks or equivalent lakehouse architecture.
• Expert in SQL, data modeling, and Python with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with performance and cost engineering.
• 3+ years experience with agentic coding tools and loop engineering (context, tools, evals, guardrails).
• Strong knowledge of data-quality, observability, lineage, and GDPR-aware governance.
• Leadership skills through technical influence and standard setting.
• Fluent English (B2+).

Nice to have:

• Experience with feature-store or ML data serving in production.
• Payments, fintech, or lending data experience.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka/Structured Streaming and CDC.
• DBT governance experience.
• Awareness of CCD2/DORA.

• Design and own a feature-store architecture ensuring schema correctness, point-in-time accuracy, and freshness SLAs.
• Provide reference implementations setting pipeline patterns, modeling standards, and lineage approaches.
• Lead highest-complexity, high-risk data initiatives, including cross-domain feature reuse across regulated entities.
• Design the agent loop for reliable, observable, and cost-controlled agentic engineering delivery.
• Shape data architectures to directly impact quality and speed of money-making decisions.
