Cyber Consulting Lead Tech SME

HSBC Cybersecurity function manages information security and cybersecurity risks, ensuring risk and controls are assessed and implemented by specialized subject matter experts. This senior role supports the Chief Information Security Officer for Enterprise Technology as part of the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD), providing expert advice, technical leadership, and strategic input across the business to strengthen cybersecurity posture.

• Hands-on coding experience in at least one modern programming language, preferably Java or Python.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices with ability to review and advise on code.
• Proven experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and solid understanding of cloud security concepts.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices security including deployment, configuration, and security workloads.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and practices, including secure architecture, risk management, and control design.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines is desirable.

• Provide expert advice, technical leadership, and strategic input on cybersecurity across the business.
• Participate in the development, enhancement, and enforcement of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and frameworks.
• Support risk and controls assessment and implementation as part of the 1st Line of Defence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for cybersecurity risk management.
• Engage in continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within cybersecurity functions.

The role requires English language proficiency. The position is offered by HSBC Technology Poland in Kraków with a hybrid work mode. The candidate should be senior level as explicitly stated.
