Model Based Software Engineer/Integrator

Development of various sensors and actuators within the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) field, including air differential pressure sensors, air flow sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and variable air valve actuators.

• Strong debugging and integration skills.
• Experience in Embedded Software Development using C and C++.
• Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
• Proficiency in Matlab scripting, ideally with OOP principles.
• Experience in modeling and code generation.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM MCUs).
• Proactive approach to solving complex integration challenges.
• Experience in code review.

Nice to have:

• Experience using AI tools in day-to-day workflow.
• Python scripting experience.

Integration and Abstraction:

• Integrate low-level drivers into higher-level abstractions within modular components in Simulink, following software design requirements and diagrams.
• Assemble multiple components into complete features integrated into various products.

Coding and Code Generation:

• Develop code primarily in Matlab (following OOP principles) and Simulink.
• Use C++ code generation to integrate with low-level drivers.

C++ Development:

• Extend and upgrade a custom C++17 code generator developed for the project.
• Analyze generated code and make direct modifications in C++ as needed.

Main Tasks of the Integrator:

• Create new products and integrate previously developed features.
• Find and fix bugs and defects.
• Create releases and test functionality on hardware, including specific features, communication protocols (Bacnet, Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, NFC), and product parameterization/configuration.
