Lead Engineer (AI/Python)

The GPC Global Technology Center in Krakow, established in 2022, is an innovative R&D facility supporting GPC's digital transformation efforts with a focus on advanced technologies for e-commerce, data platforms, supply chain solutions, selling systems, and cybersecurity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-3 years technical leadership experience.
• 6-8 years software development experience focusing on Python, Cloud solutions, and development-to-production lifecycle.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
• Hands-on experience in data analytics and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Generative AI and deployment/support of Machine Learning/Large Language Models (LLMs) is a major plus.

Technical Leadership:

• Lead and mentor an engineering team fostering innovation and continuous learning.
• Write, review, and maintain code aligned with best practices.
• Design and whiteboard technical solutions collaboratively.

Generative AI Exploration:

• Investigate and apply Generative AI methodologies for company needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business applications of Generative AI.

Cloud Solutions Development:

• Lead implementation of Cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI.
• Guide full development lifecycle from design to production deployment.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Encourage a culture of curiosity and experimentation.
