Senior Java Developer

Team Connect is Poland’s leading nearshore and offshore IT provider specializing in Agile and DevOps-based software development. They develop backend, frontend, and mobile applications. The position is for a client in the healthcare industry, focused on a healthcare app and web platform for nurses in the home-care field, supporting clinical assessment, follow-up tools, team planning, administration, and invoicing.

• Strong knowledge of core Java 17, collections framework, concurrency, and standard library.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem (dependency injection, transaction management, event-driven patterns, caching, security).
• Experience with Maven in large multi-module projects.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as JMS / ActiveMQ.
• Experience with MongoDB and relational persistence using Spring Data.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and inter-service communication.
• Experience with testing frameworks JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Ability to own architectural decisions and technical direction for features.
• Experience in applying design patterns and designing error handling.
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Testing mindset including identifying scenarios and writing appropriate tests.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for daily collaboration.

• Lead design and implementation of software solutions from requirements to delivery.
• Propose, justify, and document architecture and design decisions.
• Apply design patterns and implement robust error handling strategies.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, product owners, and business analysts.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and define clear interfaces between teams.
• Design and write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests naturally as part of feature delivery.
• Document decisions, designs, and non-obvious behaviours to support team understanding.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage time and scope effectively to deliver clean, maintainable, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
