Technical Product Lead - AI Finance App

KIRA is a company focused on financial technology in Southeast Asia, initially building the region's leading mobile-first insurance platform since 2019 and expanding into a comprehensive AI Finance Superapp covering payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. The company has a global, diverse team with over 20 nationalities working remotely and from offices around the world.

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production.
• Strong technical foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers and contributing to technical designs.
• Experience in regulated, high-consequence product domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance, or trading.
• Strong product judgment to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
• Experience building AI or LLM products, including evaluation, reliability, and recognizing when AI should not be used.

Nice to have:

• Engineering or highly technical product background.
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products.

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery.
• Shape technical design with engineering across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience.
• Build regulatory requirements into the product including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing.
• Apply AI where it improves outcomes with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
• Ship products accommodating external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements.

This is a remote role hiring globally. English is the main working language and strong English communication skills are required.
