Product Designer

SwingDev is the Polish branch of Hippo Insurance, an InsurTech product company focused on smarter, proactive home insurance and customer-centric digital products.

• 3+ years shipping production work with portfolio demonstrating process, data, and impact
• Strong knowledge of Figma: components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping
• Experience with data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces like tables, filters, dashboards, multi-step flows
• Using LLMs as part of the design toolkit for research synthesis, drafting, prototyping, writing
• Ability to work solo on projects with Staff Designer support
• Initiative to identify problems, challenge vague briefs, suggest improvements
• Fluent English with afternoon availability 2-3 days a week including occasional evening calls for US time zones
• Clear design process and openness to honest feedback

Nice to have:

• Experience with internal tools or operations-heavy products (admin panels, CRMs, claims tools)

• Experience designing AI-powered features including chatbots, agent assistance, and LLM-in-the-loop interfaces

• Context on US home insurance, claims, or insurance operations

• Experience working with US stakeholders

• Skills specifically required: Figma, UX design, Prototyping, UX research, Design System

• Additional valued skills: LLM, Communication

• Languages: English (fluent), Polish

• Designing intuitive, accessible internal tools such as claims platforms, underwriting AI, and agent portals
• Partnering with PMs and Engineers from discovery onward to define problems and ship impactful features
• Running user interviews, shadow sessions, and feedback loops with tool users
• Sketching, wireframing, and prototyping at appropriate fidelity using Figma and LLMs
• Facilitating conversations to align product, design, and engineering teams
• Sharing work openly and participating in weekly design critiques
• Working as the solo Product Designer on Hippo's internal tools in a team of ~9
