Senior Test Automation Engineer - Wrocław

Monterail is a team of ~130 developers, designers, QAs, and other technology professionals building software for clients globally, including a client in the luxury travel & hospitality sector managing premium properties across the Mediterranean.

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, UAT, system integration, exploratory.
• Experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience or enthusiasm for leveraging AI coding agents.
• Solid knowledge of git and version control in team environments.
• Strong understanding of the DOM and locator strategies.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• Ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with usability and accessibility testing.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• English proficiency.
• Positive and supportive attitude.

Nice to have:

• Experience using Jira and writing documentation in Notion.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Write and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration scenarios.
• Establish and document QA practices, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate, analyze, and resolve defects.
• Contribute to story planning and acceptance criteria within Scrum ceremonies.
• Track, analyze, and report software quality metrics across sprints and releases.
• Act as a key escalation point for software quality issues.
• Recommend and implement improvements to software quality and user experience.
• Stay current with industry trends and automation tooling.
