Systems Engineer Empower

Haleon is a consumer health company with a portfolio of brands including Sensodyne®, Panadol®, Advil®, Voltaren®, Theraflu®, Otrivin®, and Centrum®. The role focuses on supporting Empower CDS, NuGenesis, and Scitara systems within manufacturing and quality compliance environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years experience in systems engineering or platform support in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience delivering complex technical changes including upgrades, migrations, integrations, and deployments with controlled change and validation.
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL for querying, analyzing, and maintaining data.
• Familiarity with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes (incident/problem/change) with disciplined change execution.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and logging/monitoring.
• Experience with equipment connectivity, data acquisition, and troubleshooting across OT/IT boundaries.

• Collaboration with central Tech teams, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting Lab systems, ideally Empower CDS, NuGenesis, and Scitara.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance techniques.
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP fundamentals, routing/switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, load balancing, and certificate/TLS basics.

• Provide software development for Empower, NuGenesis, and Scitara.
• Support design of technical solutions and architecture fulfilling customer, regulatory, and system requirements.
• Provide technical support for Empower, NuGenesis, and Scitara services, including environments, connectivity, performance, availability, backups, and monitoring.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents (L3) and conduct root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Execute or lead system upgrades, patches, hardening, and lifecycle refresh aligned with site schedules and validation.
• Support underlying technology stack including servers/VMs, OS, network connectivity, databases, storage, identity/access.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and robust backup/restore procedures for CMDB components.
• Support validation and audit activities with technical input for qualification, change impact assessments, and evidence generation.
• Ensure configurations and changes meet data integrity (e.g., ALCOA+), compliance, and security requirements.
• Design, implement, and support integrations between systems and engineering/automation layers.
• Collaborate with Automation/Engineering teams to ensure robust interfaces and clear ownership across OT and IT boundaries.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as architecture, runbooks, SOP/WI, and KBAs.
• Improve service reliability through proactive monitoring, automation, and standardization.
• Provide input and expertise to project and development teams and coordinate technical deliverables.
