Unreal Engine Gameplay Developer - World Reactivity

The Knights of U is a game development company creating games on two different engines, focused on improving each project and building unique experiences for players.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Gameplay Programmer or related role
• Strong practical knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, C++, and Blueprints
• Experience implementing interactive world systems in RPG games
• Experience working with artificial intelligence systems
• Experience designing and implementing flexible gameplay systems
• Ability to independently manage tasks from implementation through iteration and maintenance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, Perforce, or Plastic SCM

• Experience with RPG games

• Experience porting games to consoles

• Implement, develop, iterate, and maintain interactive gameplay systems
• Create and develop reactive world systems including AI routines, day/night cycles, and dynamic state changes
• Implement quests with complex dependencies affecting world and protagonist status
• Develop AI behaviors and navigation for enemies and NPCs
• Ensure implementational consistency of interdependent systems interacting with the game world
• Collaborate closely with Design and Development teams in planning and implementing features
• Maintain code quality, readability, and upkeep
• Participate in technical analysis and estimation of gameplay tasks
