Senior AI Engineer

We are a software house that originated in Berlin and operates globally, with a strong presence in Warsaw. We help companies design, build and develop digital products while solving complex technical challenges. Our clients include companies such as Zalando, IWC, Bidfood and Orderbird.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus
• Hands-on experience delivering LLM-based solutions in production integrated with existing systems
• Experience writing clean, testable code and using CI/CD, code reviews, and monitoring tools
• Regular use of AI in development workflow with critical evaluation skills
• Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders
• Public presence in AI community (blog, talks, open source, newsletter, or active social profile)
• Enjoyment of knowledge sharing through workshops, pairing, demos, or documentation
• Strong, well-argued opinions about AI with honesty about its appropriate use
• Very good command of English, written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Experience in consulting or software house environment
• Experience introducing new tools or practices in engineering teams
• Domain knowledge in payments or e-commerce
• Experience with AI evaluation, observability, or security

• Deliver LLM-based AI solutions integrated into live client products
• Participate in sprints, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring
• Run discovery workshops and build quick prototypes for clients
• Review and improve internal software development processes and AI adoption
• Experiment with new AI models, tools, and approaches
• Share knowledge internally through workshops and demos
• Represent YND publicly on AI topics via blog posts, meetups, conferences, and social media
