Java Developer

Scalo specializes in delivering software projects and supporting partners in business development, utilizing a wide range of IT services including technology consulting, software creation, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 3 years commercial experience in Java for junior or 5-8 years for regular+/senior levels
• Strong knowledge of Java 21+, Spring Boot, and principles of OOP and Clean Code
• Experience in designing and developing microservices
• Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
• Practical experience with Kafka and/or Event Hubs
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and backend service performance optimization
• Experience with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini)
• Good knowledge of Linux and basic computer networking
• English language proficiency enabling fluent technical communication (B2/C1)

• Design, implement, and develop backend applications based on Java 21+ and Spring Boot
• Create, develop, and maintain microservice architecture
• Design and implement solutions based on asynchronous communication using Kafka and Event Hubs
• Develop and optimize services running in distributed environments
• Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Analyze and solve performance and production issues
• Implement improvements to increase system stability, scalability, and availability
• Develop solutions operating in Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes environments
• Create technical and architectural documentation
• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, and DevOps teams
• Actively use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini) to support software development
• Participate in requirement analysis and design of new technology solutions
• Provide services in a hybrid mode with 2 days weekly office presence in Kraków
