Senior Node.js Engineer with AI

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and backend development
• At least 2 years of commercial experience working with AI/ML solutions
• Professional experience with Python
• Hands-on experience building and integrating AI-powered functionality into real-world products
• Experience taking AI experiments or prototypes into production
• Ability to research different technical approaches, test them and make decisions based on results
• Understanding of how to evaluate AI-based solutions, including quality, accuracy, latency and cost
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs and integrations
• Ability to independently own technically complex features from idea to production

Highly Valued:

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents or GenAI applications
• Experience working with major AI model providers and APIs
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Experience with AI observability, evaluation frameworks or production monitoring
• Previous experience in travel technology, hospitality, marketplaces or booking platforms

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Build and integrate AI-powered features into production systems
• Research different AI approaches, run experiments and evaluate results to identify the most suitable solutions
• Develop Python-based components for AI/ML workflows, data processing and experimentation
• Build prototypes and transform successful approaches into reliable, production-ready solutions
• Integrate LLMs, AI models and external AI services with existing backend systems
• Define evaluation methods and metrics to measure the quality and performance of AI solutions
• Work closely with engineering and product teams on architecture and implementation decisions
• Take ownership of features from technical design and experimentation through implementation and deployment
• Monitor and improve existing solutions based on production results, performance and user feedback
