System Automation Engineer - AI & Python Developer Experience

The role is within Motorola Solutions Systems Polska, specifically the Astro Console Team based in Kraków. This team develops integrated dispatch solutions focused on real-time, secure communication for public safety professionals such as 911 call handlers, firefighters, police, and military. The team consists of around 100 professionals including software engineers and product owners. The department is responsible for the Computer-Aided Dispatch Center, a key component of group communication solutions.

• Hands-on experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools and agents to automate environment setup, scripting, and operational tasks.
• Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages like Bash and Groovy for automation and validation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with automated delivery pipelines and build tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of automated software delivery workflows, shift-left security, and dynamic execution environments.
• Experience with Version Control and SCM tools, specifically the Atlassian stack (Bitbucket, Jira).
• Practical operating system knowledge from both user and administrator perspectives in Linux or Windows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical problem-solving approach.
• English language proficiency enabling efficient daily technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating AI APIs (LLM orchestration) or AI coding agents into engineering workflows.
• Solid understanding of AWS core services and ephemeral environment provisioning.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networking services.

AI-Driven SDLC Acceleration & Workflow Automation:

• Design and implement custom LLM-powered tools and AI agents for automating the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Automate routine tasks including log analysis, deployment pipeline optimization, test suite maintenance, and environment troubleshooting.

Workflow Orchestration:

• Build, maintain, and scale automated pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions to handle software builds, deployments, and security scanning.

Python-Based Validation:

• Design and implement intelligent scripts and quality checks in Python to validate environment stability, API integrations, and application health.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Administer and scale infrastructure and dynamic environments using Ansible, Terraform, and IaC best practices.

Release & Security Governance:

• Manage the release promotion process from Bitbucket to Artifactory and into production ensuring quality and validation.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams globally within Scrum frameworks.

Technical Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation following a Documentation-as-Code approach.
