• Practical knowledge of Linux system administration, especially Debian/Ubuntu.
• Proficient use of the Linux shell and tools such as grep, awk, sed, find, journalctl, systemctl, curl, and ssh.
• Ability to analyze logs and perform step-by-step problem diagnostics.
• Good knowledge of web server operation and configuration, particularly Nginx and/or Apache.
• Practical administrative knowledge of PHP, including PHP-FPM configuration.
• Basic administration skills for MySQL/MariaDB, with diagnostic capabilities.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, NAT, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS.
• Knowledge of internet email systems and protocols: SMTP, IMAP, and POP3.
• Understanding of email deliverability mechanisms such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Familiarity with popular CMS platforms, especially WordPress, from an administrative and technical perspective.
• Ability to create simple tools and automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Capability to assess risks related to changes and prepare rollback plans.
• Self-sufficient in troubleshooting and using technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of DirectAdmin panel.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Chef.

• Independently diagnose and resolve issues related to websites, applications, and server services.
• Analyze performance problems affecting web servers, PHP, databases, and applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to email delivery.
• Migrate websites, databases, and email between environments.
• Prepare and maintain environments for websites and web applications.
• Configure and administer services such as Nginx, Apache, HAProxy, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Analyze system and application logs to identify root causes of problems.
• Respond to security incidents, including analysis and removal of website infections.
• Apply safe changes in production environments with backups and rollback verification.
• Update systems and services, ensuring infrastructure security.
• Analyze resource usage and optimize service configurations.
• Develop and improve monitoring and mechanisms for early problem detection.
• Automate repetitive administrative tasks.
• Create and update technical documentation, procedures, and checklists.
• Participate in failure analysis and implement preventive changes.
• Collaborate with other administrators, developers, and company teams.
