Software Engineer II | AI & Agentic Systems

Jamf empowers people to do their best work. This role is on a new team focused on secure, governed adoption of autonomous and agentic workflows within a mature platform, starting with security.

• 3+ years building enterprise-grade software commercially, with solid testing and QA skills.
• 3+ years of commercial experience in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and agentic frameworks including tool calling, multi-step execution, and structured output beyond AI coding assistants.
• Experience using AI-driven coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code.
• Sound judgment on where automation should and shouldn't act independently.
• Understanding of trust boundaries, blast radius, and least privilege by default.
• Treat vulnerability management as a discipline including severity, exploitability, SLAs, and exception handling.
• Experience in agile organizations and with build systems like Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of software supply chain security: SBOMs, provenance, attestation, image signing and verification, policy-as-code.
• Experience running AI coding agents at repository scale and ensuring trustworthy outputs.
• Familiarity with AI governance in security contexts including model-use policy, data handling, and audit processes.
• Experience in regulated environments such as SOC 2 or FedRAMP, and understanding audit requirements.

• Build production systems where AI agents author code changes inside deterministic gates with independent verification and full audit trails.
• Break customer and platform problems into workable pieces and own them end to end in an agile team.
• Design trust boundaries, blast radius, and least-privilege models for automation with elevated production access.
• Build evaluation and observability systems to measure accuracy and catch silent degradation.
• Produce evidence for auditors that controls worked, not just claims.
• Collaborate closely with security engineering and PDD developers, explaining complex topics clearly.
• Bring engineering best practices, ask sharp questions, solve hard problems, and help others level up.
