• 10+ years of experience in IT.
• Experience at the level of Software/Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, CTO, Head of Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience designing or auditing large business systems and assessing architectural trade-offs.
• Experience with code review, technical due diligence, audits, or system acceptance from other teams.
• Knowledge of systems with multiple APIs and external integrations.
• Experience with data migration, legacy systems, archiving, and data quality issues.
• Understanding of CI/CD, environments, backups, infrastructure, and observability.
• Understanding of security, authorization, access control, data protection, and ability to recommend penetration testing.
• Experience assessing vendor lock-in and system takeover feasibility.
• Ability to document risks and recommendations for business.
• Independence from contractors and readiness to challenge recommendations.

Nice to have:

• Experience in travel-tech, hospitality, reservations, e-commerce, marketplaces, B2B/B2C.
• Knowledge of complex pricing rules and contracts.
• Experience with acceptance of systems from software houses.
• Support in software development contract negotiations.
• Very good English; German is an advantage.

• Independently evaluate architecture, data models, trade-offs, API and integrations, data migration, repositories, code review, testing, CI/CD, deployment, infrastructure, backups, observability, security, and documentation.
• Identify risks and the need for specialized audits or penetration testing.
• Document recommendations and risks for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Assess system security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure system is free from vendor lock-in and ready for takeover by another contractor.

Role is only for candidates in Poland; cooperation mainly remote.
