Data Visualization Engineer

emagine Polska is the employer offering a position on the team responsible for creating the Client’s Data Platform, involved in delivering data solutions to drive business success.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in similar responsibilities.
• Fluent in English at C1 level.
• Strong experience developing dashboards, semantic models, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power BI workspace management.
• Proven experience with complex data modeling, including dimensional and unified models.
• Strong experience with dbt including development, documentation, testing, and data quality.
• Hands-on experience with Dataiku for data engineering and quality assessment.
• Excellent skills in advanced SQL and query optimization.
• Proficient in Python for data transformation, automation, and integration.
• Strong experience with GCP, especially BigQuery and cloud data platforms.
• Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and managing GCP resources.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality, metadata management, lineage, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or data visualization in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing unified data models across multiple source systems.
• Experience with BigQuery optimization, partitioning, clustering, and large-scale workloads.
• Experience with Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow and cloud orchestration.
• Experience with dbt testing frameworks and automated quality validation.
• Experience with Power BI deployment processes and enterprise workspace governance.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy, governance, and enterprise data catalog practices.
• Fluency in French.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and semantic models using Power BI, ensuring visual clarity and performance.
• Develop and implement metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators with business units.
• Design, maintain, and optimize complex data models with appropriate relationships, grain, and dimensional structures.
• Develop, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines using Dataiku.
• Develop and maintain dbt projects including models, documentation, lineage, reusable transformations, and automated data quality tests.
• Write, review, and optimize advanced SQL queries using BigQuery.
• Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
• Work with the GCP data ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer/Airflow, IAM, and related services.
• Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and managing GCP resources and data platform jobs.
• Implement data quality, governance, metadata, cataloging, documentation, and lineage practices.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, semantic models, deployment processes, and security controls.
