Senior Quality Engineer

• 8+ years of professional software quality engineering/testing experience with strong hands-on manual testing expertise.
• Experience testing complex applications emphasizing data accuracy, calculations, and business processes.
• Strong skills in requirements analysis, test case design, exploratory and regression testing, and defect investigation.
• Hands-on experience testing REST and/or SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Good working knowledge of SQL, including query writing for data validation and issue investigation.
• Experience testing backend processes and web applications.
• Some hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright, C#/.NET, NUnit, or similar.
• Ability to understand and maintain existing automated tests; building automation frameworks from scratch is not required.
• Strong attention to detail and systematic investigation of complex scenarios.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with software and product teams.

• Perform hands-on manual testing of a complex SaaS platform including requirements analysis, exploratory and regression testing, and defect investigation.
• Test business-critical background processes related to timesheets, payments, assignments, calculations, and invoice accuracy.
• Analyze requirements and identify quality risks and testing needs before development completion.
• Design and execute test scenarios across backend services, APIs, databases, and web applications.
• Test REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and SoapUI.
• Use SQL Server to validate data, investigate issues, and verify system behavior at the database level.
• Maintain and extend existing automated tests using Playwright, C#/.NET, and NUnit, gradually automating suitable manual scenarios.
• Support regression, smoke testing, release readiness, and UAT activities.
• Investigate and help troubleshoot complex defects across a multi-tier environment.
• Document and manage test plans and cases using Jira and Xray.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to improve testability and product quality.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support test planning and automation.
