Principal Backend Engineer – Casino

• Minimum of 10+ years work experience
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor)
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience working with large traffic volumes requiring scalable systems
• Deep understanding of AWS Cloud technologies and multi-region scalable applications
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, CockroachDB
• Experience with streaming technologies (Amazon Kinesis, Kafka)
• Experience with message queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
• Experience in agile development
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Micro-Service and Service Oriented Architectures

Nice to have:

• Experience in the Casino industry or equivalent regulated industries like Banking
• Experience championing AI-assisted engineering practices (AI code generation, AI-assisted code review, agentic coding tools) within engineering organizations

• Set the technical direction and architecture for complex, cross-team systems
• Contribute to the design and implementation of complex features
• Collaborate with other Principal Engineers and Architects, mentoring Staff and Senior Engineers
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Engineering Managers, Technical VPs, and Product Managers
• Perform code reviews and coach developers on technical approaches
• Ensure quality, scope, and timeliness of deliverables
• Champion adoption of AI-assisted development practices and tools across the team
