System Engineer (Telco)

Comarch operates in the telecommunications sector and delivers proprietary solutions to major operators across multiple continents. The role is part of a team located in Katowice, Poznan, and Gdansk, focusing on system engineering within the Communications sector, supporting large-scale software and infrastructure environments.

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting (e.g., bash)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch and languages SQL, PL/SQL
• Understanding of networking concepts and communication protocols, including TCP/IP
• Familiarity with version control systems: SVN, git
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka
• General knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud software like OpenStack
• English language proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation and client communication
• Practical use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for code optimization, automation, debugging, and log analysis

Nice to have:

• Experience with tools Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA
• Hands-on experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP)

• Administer servers, operating systems, and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Install, maintain, and manage both internal and client environments
• Independently perform and improve technical, installation, and configuration tasks
• Create technical documentation
• Design hardware and network configurations based on client requirements
• Troubleshoot performance issues
• Configure monitoring tools for servers and applications
