Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer

EPAM Design Studio in Poland is hiring a Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer for a new client engagement: an AI-native product built end-to-end for a global financial-services client. • 5+ years of senior or lead UX/UI or product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating complex product work and design system contributions
• Proven experience building and scaling design systems in Figma including variables, tokens, components, documentation, and governance
• Hands-on experience with design-to-code processes and Storybook
• Practical experience integrating AI and LLMs with Figma and codebases, including building routers, prompts, and Markdown-based guidance
• Strong understanding of design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), and front-end literacy including HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks
• Clear perspective on AI’s role in design work and when human intervention is needed
• Experience collaborating with development teams across the software development lifecycle, ideally in AI-native environments
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, distributed teams including collaboration with US-based colleagues
• Ability to self-manage workstreams, make decisions amid ambiguity, and deliver in fast-paced environments
• Expert-level written and spoken English to articulate complex ideas and strategic thinking

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of financial-services domain (investment, wealth management, fintech)
• Experience with design-token pipelines (e.g., Tokens Studio, Style Dictionary)
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code) or prototyping in code
• Client-facing consulting experience

• Design and refine end-to-end product UX/UI experiences from concept to production-ready UI
• Build, evolve, and govern a design system in Figma and maintain alignment with code and Storybook
• Connect Figma and code repository using AI and LLMs (e.g., Figma API, MCP, Code Connect)
• Structure AI guidance architecture using Markdown-based files and component routing to ensure design principles and accessibility (WCAG) compliance
• Define quality gates balancing AI automation and human review
• Collaborate within an AI-native SDLC with engineers, product owners, and QA teams
• Present design rationale to stakeholders and gather feedback
• Prototype user flows and interactions for validation
• Share learnings to advance AI-enabled design workflows
