Senior AI/ML & Data Engineer (Azure Databricks)

RITS is recruiting for a long-term project working with an international client focused on data engineering, AI/ML, and Intelligent Document Processing within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
• Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
• Practical experience with Azure Data Lake.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with:
  • SQL Server
  • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
• Experience with Data Modeling.
• Experience with Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence.
• Experience with Data Mining.
• Knowledge of DataOps.
• Previous exposure to Machine Learning projects.
• Experience with OCR, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) or Azure AI Document Intelligence.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text analytics.
• Experience with multilingual document processing is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international, distributed team.
• Good command of English.

• Design, develop and optimize data processing solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Develop OCR-based and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for automated document processing.
• Extract, transform and integrate data from documents into enterprise applications and reporting systems.
• Work with Azure Data Lake and modern data architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process automation.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to DataOps best practices.
• Support the implementation and development of AI and Machine Learning initiatives.
• Work with multilingual documents, forms and unstructured data.
• Contribute to new AI/ML automation initiatives within the project pipeline.

Depending on roadmap initiatives:

• OCR automation for cash register reports.
• Intelligent extraction of data from receipts and invoices.
• Automated document data extraction and integration with downstream systems.
• Digitization and automation of paper-based customer surveys.
• Combining OCR, text analytics and sentiment analysis.
• Processing and understanding multilingual documents and forms.
• Developing new AI-driven automation solutions as part of the innovation pipeline.
