Logistics Technician

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) manages infrastructure for cloud services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. This team supports more than 200 Data Centers worldwide, delivering services to over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses across 90+ countries.

• High School Diploma and 6 months experience or internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and biennially.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years’ experience in warehouse/supply chain, IT environment, or logistics.
• Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) in a large corporation or equivalent experience.

• Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work or escalations under guidance.
• Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed hardware devices.
• Develop working knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices.
• Ensure accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Familiarize with Microsoft contractual guidelines and maintain customer focus.
• Perform cycle audits and data corrections to meet inventory controls.
• Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Destruct data bearing devices following SLAs and Microsoft policies under supervision.
• Comply with all security and data management policies.
• Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

This role requires passing the Microsoft Cloud background check and other government security screenings.
