Senior Java / Python Developer

DCG is a recruitment company engaged in numerous recruitment projects, focusing on providing support through experienced professionals and partnership management. The role is within their business domain involving software development for security testing platforms.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python and/or Java
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining backend applications and REST APIs
• Familiarity with Spring Boot and standard Java development practices, or modular application design and dependency management for Python
• Practical experience in writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability
• Good understanding of secure software development principles, including input validation, authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with collaborative development practices, including code reviews
• Ability to analyze existing codebases, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement maintainable, well-documented solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders
• Good command of written and spoken English for technical communication and documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience working with both Python and Java / Spring Boot
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or developing AI-assisted workflows, including structured output validation and error handling
• Familiarity with application security testing methodologies, particularly DAST and SAST
• Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Nuclei, or Semgrep
• Experience with document processing and data extraction, particularly from PDF files
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud-based environments
• Knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or Thymeleaf

• Design, develop, and maintain features within the Automated Security Retest Engine platform
• Develop and enhance Python-based processing pipelines and Java Spring Boot application components
• Build and maintain integrations with external tools, services, and REST APIs
• Improve the reliability, accuracy, and quality of automated security tests and analysis
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and stability
• Investigate technical issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement effective solutions
• Apply secure software development practices, including input validation, access control, credential protection, and secure data handling
• Ensure compliance with defined security testing scopes and maintain reliable evidence of remediation verification
• Collaborate with security and product stakeholders to translate technical and business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to continuous improvements, and maintain technical documentation
