Mid Ruby on Rails Developer

• At least 3 years of commercial experience developing applications using the Ruby on Rails ecosystem.
• Backend proficiency including Ruby on Rails, designing relational databases with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, caching, and message brokers.
• API and authentication knowledge: REST API, WebSockets, JWT, cookie-based auth, OAuth.
• Familiarity with software quality and architecture principles: SOLID, design patterns, testing with Minitest/RSpec, Git, CI/CD, Docker.
• Fluent in English and Polish; willing to contribute to architectural decisions and scalability.

Nice to have:

• Experience with frontend tools: ViewComponent, Stimulus, React, or Vue.
• Experience in HealthTech/pharma (HIPAA, e-prescribing, insurance systems, FHIR).
• Experience with AWS, Nginx or working in product/startup/consulting environments.

• Design and implement functionalities in a modular Ruby on Rails monolith across areas like prescriptions, pharmacy operations, and manufacturer programs.
• Use AI-augmented tools for daily code development and critically review generated solutions.
• Write automated tests using Minitest with fixtures.
• Manage deployments with feature flags (using LaunchDarkly).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL), caching mechanisms, and background job processing (Sidekiq).
