Data Platform Developer-Analyst

Clurgo is a company created by developers for developers. They carry out various IT projects for clients from multiple industries, focusing on good programming practices and work-life balance. The projects include solutions for clients in Poland and worldwide, including a project for a client in the banking industry.

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in production environments
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka brokers, including topics, partitioning, schemas, and replication
• Proficiency with Kafka Streams and kSQL
• Experience configuring and developing both ready-made and custom Kafka Connect connectors
• Knowledge of MongoDB schema design, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience implementing GraphQL services, defining schemas and resolvers
• Good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Strong communication skills and analytical thinking to translate stakeholders' needs into technical specifications
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of table formats and metadata management (Apache Iceberg)
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
• Understanding of security and data encryption concepts: TLS, SASL, ACL

Tasks:

• Participate in meetings with analysts and IT teams to understand business processes and data structures
• Create detailed functional documentation (use cases, user stories) and technical documentation (data diagrams, field mapping)
• Design Apache Kafka topics (naming, partitioning, Avro schemas)
• Define collection structures in MongoDB and models in GraphQL and Apache Iceberg tables
• Build microservices in Spring Boot (producer, consumer, stream processing)
• Implement GraphQL layer exposing data stored in MongoDB
• Configure, deploy, and develop Kafka Connect connectors
• Develop dedicated Single Message Transforms (SMT) and data converters
• Implement metrics, logging, and event tracing mechanisms (using Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, ELK, Dynatrace)
• Diagnose delays, replication issues, and data inconsistencies, optimize system configuration for performance
• Actively work within an Agile team and share knowledge with engineers and analysts (workshops, documentation, code review)
