Mechanical Design Engineer

Algoteque is preparing for a new wave of advanced engineering projects in the automotive and e-mobility sectors focused on innovative product development from concept through production preparation.

• Solid practical experience in 3D mechanical design and product development.
• Proficient in at least one CAD environment such as CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering domains including plastics and injection-moulded components, sheet metal and metal structures, precision mechanics, and mechanical assemblies.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to assess designs from engineering and manufacturing perspectives.
• Experience working with cross-functional or international engineering teams.
• Communicative English skills for effective meetings and collaboration.
• Practical analytical approach to create reliable technical solutions from requirements.

Nice to have:

• Experience with mechanical calculations and CAE simulations.
• Knowledge of CAE tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperWorks, or similar.
• Experience in automotive, e-mobility, manufacturing, machinery, or industrial engineering sectors.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, prototyping, validation, testing, and production implementation.
• Experience with structured product development or engineering processes.

• Design and develop mechanical components, products, machines, and complex assemblies for automotive and e-mobility applications.
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Translate technical and business requirements into functional and manufacturable design solutions.
• Develop and implement engineering changes and design modifications, ensuring documentation consistency.
• Work with materials and technologies like plastics, sheet metal, and precision mechanics.
• Cooperate with engineers across electrical, electronics, manufacturing, quality, and systems disciplines.
• Ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and smooth transition to production with relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving, and continuous product improvements.
• Support development from initial concepts and prototypes through validation and production readiness.
• Contribute engineering expertise to projects involving next-generation automotive and electric mobility solutions.
