Data Engineer / ETL Developer (Pentaho)

TQLO SP. Z O.O. is hiring for a role supporting a client in data processing and data warehouse development and maintenance. The project focuses on ETL processes, data integration, and developing analytical and reporting solutions using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Fabric.

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Warehouse.
• Practical and commercial experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI / Kettle) — mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including advanced query creation and optimization.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL processes.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data warehouse architecture.
• Experience in integrating data from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
• Ability to analyze and solve data processing issues.
• Independence and good communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, or Data Warehouse.
• Experience migrating ETL processes between technologies.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience processing data in batch and real-time modes.
• Knowledge of Data Governance concepts.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI / Kettle).
• Build and optimize data integration from various systems.
• Design and develop data warehouse structures and data models.
• Create and optimize advanced SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain data processing workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Work with large datasets in formats such as JSON, CSV, and XML.
• Identify and resolve data quality and consistency issues.
• Develop and optimize existing Data Warehouse solutions.
• Participate in projects related to Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on requirements analysis.
