Senior Backend Engineer

Text SA operates with a Configuration team responsible for storing and managing core data, settings, licenses, and properties that dictate application behavior for clients. The team develops and maintains high-traffic services, public APIs (Configuration API), and background processing mechanisms used company-wide, impacting the core ecosystem of TextApp.

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience in product-focused environments.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Go (Golang).
• Solid understanding of Node.js and willingness to work with it for maintenance and migration.
• Experience designing, querying, and optimizing MySQL and PostgreSQL relational databases.
• Experience operating services in production under high traffic and scale.
• Proven ability to deliver features independently end-to-end.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP.
• Experience working with Redis and background task runners or work-queue mechanisms.

• Develop, scale, and maintain backend services including Configuration API, TextApp services, and Integration API primarily in Go.
• Support and evolve existing Node.js services.
• Design and optimize relational databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL and caching layers like Redis.
• Take full ownership from ticket acquisition, deployment to production, and monitoring.
• Handle cross-team requests and build configuration pools for use by other teams.
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Migrate and refactor legacy systems to modern, scalable solutions without disrupting production.
