Senior Big Data Infrastructure Engineer

• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and operating big data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with HDFS / Hadoop, including deployment, version upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying and operating S3-compatible object storage; Apache Ozone preferred but alternatives like MinIO acceptable.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Experience setting up monitoring and alerting for data infrastructure.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.
• Ability to work within the GMT+3 time zone (up to 3 hours difference).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Trino, Kafka, or Flink.
• Experience with Iceberg REST catalogs such as Lakekeeper, Gravitino, or Polaris.
• Experience setting up resource quotas and cost allocation in a multi-tenant data platform.
• Hands-on use of AI tools like Copilot or agents to accelerate work.

• Own and technically lead big data infrastructure on the international contour.
• Deploy, upgrade, and operate core platform services such as HDFS, S3-compatible object storage (Apache Ozone), and Iceberg.
• Assist in running an infrastructure pilot to convert very large datasets into thousands of small tables.
• Introduce compute and storage quotas for business units.
• Migrate from default Iceberg catalog to more capable ones like Lakekeeper or Gravitino.
• Rebuild monitoring and alerting systems to improve alert relevance.
• Collaborate closely with an engineer managing a parallel contour to share approaches and cover each other's work.
