Quality Lead Engineer

Euroclear is modernising their technology by migrating from COBOL to Java and adopting Event Hub technologies such as Kafka for integration between migrated services and the legacy CREST system. The position is within the GBS division focusing on CREST transformation.

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
• Strong analytical mindset to extract and analyze relevant information from documentation, system data, and stakeholders.
• Ability to derive manual and automated test scenarios and cases documented to standards.
• Automation experience using Cucumber, Java, and ADS.
• Experience reviewing team deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
• Capability to identify and escalate risks and issues with mitigating actions.
• Facilitation skills for discussions to devise test approaches and risk mitigation.
• Analytical and system design skills for building distributed multi-platform solutions.
• Hands-on Object-Oriented Design and Java programming skills.
• Experience with Event Hub technology, especially Kafka and Kafka streams.
• Database design experience with Oracle, and proficiency in Java and SQL queries.
• Strong experience working in Agile environments with BDD and TDD knowledge.
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using ADS.
• Understanding of risk-based testing.
• Experience leading testing activities and defining testing strategy.

• Work as part of the Agile team delivering migration of legacy applications to a new event-based and service-oriented architecture.
• Collaborate with the Solution Architect, Product Owner, Technical Lead, CREST architects, and other stakeholders.
• Deliver and lead a coherent end-to-end testing solution covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Establish estimation principles for migration program phases.
• Write and present Test Strategy and propose optimal Test Approaches to stakeholders.
• Peer review and execute Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
• Manage defects effectively and perform required analysis.
